The MAD DAWN Challenge is a complex, dynamic global initiative that seeks to unite people from all around the world on a win-win platform of the project in the process of creating something both exciting and rewarding. It is about fun, exploration of the world, making dreams come true, cooperation and about long-term help to millions of people worldwide towards better lives.
The name: MAD DAWN stands for “Make A Difference Dancing Around the World Now”
In our MAD world, the ‘MAD’ abbreviation therefore always stands for what we intend to do (Make A Difference) or what we are already doing (Making A Difference)

WHAT EXACTLY MAD DAWN CHALLENGE IS ABOUT
The travel.
We wish to take this project and its positive impact to every country on the planet. Via filming our journeys, we will show audiences around the globe yet unexplored aspects of foreign cultures, amazing places and the beauty of this world. The challenging task of capturing the atmosphere and uniqueness of each place will be done by Karen.
The dance.
The universal language of dance is one of the uniting tools in the world. Each episode will culminate in celebrating the local culture via its dance. The hard part of learning it all will be done by the self-designated guinea pig Leah. She will subject herself to the process of learning each dance, going through all the physical hardships of training – all for a great cause. The dance will then be performed in authentic costumes either solo, with a partner or with a group of dancers and recorded at either a very famous or a scenic location, at a local festival or in another appropriate setting.
Helping others.
At each location, a specific project (or several) will be selected that are aimed at providing long-term programs that contribute to making people’s lives better. We will concentrate on supporting projects that get limited publicity yet contribute greatly to alleviating poverty, disease and other foes the less fortunate in this world have to face on a daily basis. A sizable portion of any proceeds we make will be channeled to long-term support for these projects.
The win-win cooperation.
Everyone will come out with something rewarding via participating in this project.

HOW THIS WILL WORK IN PRACTICE
The good Samaritans.
The MAD DAWN project aims at being fully financed via donations from anyone who wishes to contribute.
We also aim at making sure all our other needs, such as equipment, to be provided by willing gifters for the benefit of making this project and allowing it to grow and support people worldwide in their needs.
We will rely on our network of MAD participants (those Making A Difference 
) to help us actively in any way they can at all stages of the project – be it information gathering, translations or any other tasks. For all the ways how YOU can take part in making a positive global change, see the “Help us out!” section.
Capturing the beauty for you to enjoy.
The photos and videos made via the project, along with the blog, will be posted online for everyone’s pleasure. The greater the viewership base – the greater the attraction for any contributors to use the project as a platform for spreading awareness about their products and services. F.A.Q.
1. Do you have any specific agenda?
MAD DAWN Challenge is a non-political and non-religious undertaking and carries no such agenda.
We do have an agenda of a different kind: to make our dreams come true.
These are our dreams: to unite the world and its people; to spread the positive energy and thinking; to help others to make their dreams come true; to have worldwide fun with all of you; to introduce the beauty of the different cultures around the world; to travel to as many countries as possible; and finally, to give back to the people who have sacrificed so much for us in life and made it possible for this project to exist – our family - and give them the care and peace they deserve.
2 Where exactly do cash contributions go and why?
Any cash contribution to MAD DAWN Challenge will be divided into four parts:
One part will be assigned to be channeled to ALL of the projects we currently support.
A small part will be always set into an untouchable reserve for any emergencies related to the project. In case at some point or another we will experience a slow-down in contributions, the reserve will be used to keep the MAD DAWN Challenge going and to make sure that we keep the help flowing to those projects we support.
Another part will be invested right back into the project to cover any necessary expenses that we will be unable to secure from other sources, if those should arise. This part ideally will be near zero value, as we would try to make sure that all we need is provided before setting off to making the next episode.
Final part (the small one) will be used to cover our basic living expenses – rent, health insurance, food… Why? Because we both will have to give up our regular day job opportunities in order to fully devote ourselves to this project, but the bills still need to get paid. The only way that this project can work is if we can invest 100% of our time and effort into it, and the only way we can do it is by making sure our basic bills are also paid.
3. Why should I support MAD DAWN Challenge and not some charities directly instead? What is the point when so many charities exist already?
Maybe the question is not too accurate – if you happen to be already contributing to other projects or charities, by all means continue to do so! Maybe you can add MAD DAWN Challenge onto your list, or maybe you can simply contribute to the project in other ways!
MAD DAWN is not a charity of its own, it just serves, among other things, as a platform to reach them. There are several reasons why to support MAD DAWN Challenge:

You may contribute to a charity or project of your choice every now and then, or regularly, but at times you may have no means to do so, or may forget. We automate the support that we channel elsewhere and aim at making it long-term (years long!).

You may contribute to MAD DAWN Challenge just once, but your help will allow the project to keep existing and keep helping thousands of people worldwide for many years to come.

There are so many places in the world and causes to support, needs to meet and emergencies to deal with, and any one individual person can’t know about most of them. We aim at giving publicity to the less known but very effective local undertakings, but even if you won’t know them all, we will channel support to every one of them.

Well-established organizations, such as Red Cross or OXFAM or UNICEF don’t need extra publicity, as they have established name and operations. They are doing an amazing job and have the advantages of a global umbrella. However, there also exist smaller local undertakings that are making amazing impact but receive less support, due to less visibility - those are the ones we plan to support. The small size often allows for flexibility and true integration where it is needed.

MAD DAWN Challenge is not just a support-channeling instrument. It is a project of its own that also aims at bridging the world by showing everyone the beauty of other places and allowing anyone to partake in the creation process of each episode. You get a good feeling from supporting other charitable projects, but with MAD DAWN Challenge you will also see the world as you have not seen it. Better yet, you can even get an opportunity to travel with us!
