Zouk4Water – learn to dance and save lives!
0As we are nearing the summer, I was wondering what to do in the meantime that would be immediately of benefit to the world, while preparing for the video shooting season. Then, almost immediately, an idea came about in the form of an offer by a friend… And Zouk4Water was born!
Zouk4Water is an open course of Brazilian Zouk dance for beginners (taught by your humble servant and a good friend of mine) – with a twist: all proceeds collected from students go directly to the WaterAid charity!
Nearly 4000 children around the world die daily from preventable waterborne infections due to inadequate sanitation and dirty drinking water. As little as £15 is required to get clean water and sanitation for 1 individual. Zouk4Water aims to prevent these deaths.
Zouk4Water runs on the exactly same principle as the wider known Salsa4Water project that kicked More >

Have a LOVEly Valentine’s!
0Love is in the air for some today, but not for all.
Some people are alone – today and any other day. Some people desperately need love – from friends, family, significant others – but can’t get it… Yet love is the most powerful force in our lives! Let’s try to share it – today and any day – with people around us, because a Valentine’s day should be for everyone and it should last all year!
Share the MADness!!!
A MADly happy and successful 2013 to all!
0Yet another year has sneaked into our lives!
On behalf of the MAD DAWN Challenge, I would like to wish all of you a great and MADly successful 2013!
No matter what anyone tells you, follow your dreams and make them true! When you achieve something, you make others look up to you and say “Wow… That’s pretty awesome, I wanna do something like that!” and do things for themselves, too. Use this year to create, to accomplish and to inspire!
I also wish that you would never have to do it alone. It is very hard on a lonely road. I wish you to have people near you who will keep helping you on your way and encouraging you at every major step.
I also wish you to remember that, when you encounter someone else with a dream of More >
July/August/September/October/November: thank-you’s and news :)
0First and foremost, a big shout out and a thank-you goes to our latest contributor Rico Crawford. While the MAD DAWN Challenge is in the state of seasonal hibernation (something that, hopefully, won’t have to repeat in 2013), he is trying to start a proper 501 non-profit organization/Fund for Dementia and Alzheimer’s research. It is estimated that there will be 2 billion suffers of the horrible disease by 2050, so it is definitely a worthy cause to tackle. Make sure to visit Rico’s page and help make it happen!
From December 7 till December 14, 2012, I will be in Barcelona (Spain). Contact me if you wish to meet and cooperate in the nearest future! On December 9 there will be a performance by my dance partner and I in Lloret del Mar at the Zouk and More >
